GETTING IT RIGHT

In order to provide a bike that seamlessly combines the efforts of two riders, is pleasurable to ride, climbs with ease and descends with stability, builders have to do their homework. When it comes to materials development, benchmark testing, rider input, models introduced, and industry-firsts, Santana is the undisputed leader. If history is any guide, this site will give you a good idea of what other builders’ tandems might look like in five years.

IN-DEPTH ANSWERS

Before starting Santana, our company's founder, Bill McCready, was an Associate Editor at Bicycling Magazine. In this capacity he not only wrote articles, he orchestrated tests, including Bicycling's first comparative road test. When we can get him to write, he still has a knack for clarifying technical issues and busting popular myths. If you like the articles below (or have other concerns you'd like addressed), send a note to bill@santanatandem.com.
