Sticker Shock?

While spending $3,500 or more might seem like a lot to a first-time buyer, tandem enthusiasts overwhelmingly agree that buying a competent machine the first time around is a lot smarter than losing money when reselling a lesser tandem that failed to meet your needs. If you don’t have the budget, get a good used tandem instead. A six-year-old Santana with tandem-specific tubing and components (which can be found on eBay for half its replacement price) will cost less, outperform and outlast any of today’s economy tandems. Another possiblity may be an outdated demonstrator. When available, a lightly used test ride tandem has a new bike warranty and can save you a few hundred dollars. You or your dealer can call us at (800) 334-6136 ext. 72 to check current availability.
